1. How do I register?
To register, click Sign Up at the top of the page.  Choose whether you are signing as an individual or an organization, then fill out the form.  Create a username and password, solve the CAPTCHA, and click "Submit".  Once you are registered, you may Log In.

2. Should I register as an individual or an organization?
If you are applying for the Arts Scholarship, please sign up as an individual.  For all other grants, including the Artists-in-Education Grant (AiE), Baltimore City Arts & Cultural (BCAC), and Community Arts Development (CAD); please sign up as an organization. Once you are signed up as an organization, you will be asked to provide a contact person for that organization.  While this person does not have to be you, it is recommended that the contact person be familiar with online application.

3.  Can I register as both an individual and an organization?  As two or more organizations?
Yes. However, you must register separate usernames in order to do so.  If you are the grant writer for multiple organizations, for example, you must register each organization separately.

4. I've registered, but I don't see any grant applications available.
This is most likely due to the fact that you have not submitted your Organization information.  Please follow these steps: 1) Once logged in, click the "Manage Account" tab.  2) Make sure you have selected 'Yes' for the question "Would you like to associate this user account with an organization?".  3) Now click the "Organization" link at the top of the page next to "My Account".  4) Fill in the form and click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.  You should now see the organizational grants available to you under the "My Applications" tab.

5.  Which grant programs are right for me?
To determine eligibility, please read the Guidelines for each grant program.

6.  Are there other grants available from the Howard County Arts Council not listed on this website?
This online grant system covers the AiE, BCAC, CAD, and Arts Scholarship programs.  To apply for other grant programs such as the Mark Ryder Original Choreography Grant, the JRT Subsidy, or the Organizational Development Grant, please visit the "Grant Programs" section of Howard County Arts Council website at http://hocoarts.org/grant_programs.php.

7.  How can I view my saved application or an application that I've already submitted?
To revisit applications that you have submitted or that you have saved and are continuing to work on, first sign in to your account. Once you have signed in, you should be taken directly to the "My Applications" section of the website.  From here, click "My Data". To view your submitted application or to continue to work on your saved application, click the following button: Link to FormSet (Link to Formset) and then click the link with the name of the grant program on the following page.

8.  How do I submit my application?
To submit an application, simply navigate to the last page of the application and click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page.

9.  Will I have an opportunity to revise my application once it's submitted?
Prior to the deadline specific to the grant program for which you are applying, you may make save your application and make revisions before you submit the application.  Once you click "Submit", you are only able to view your application and can no longer edit the application.  After the deadline has passed, you will be unable to make any revisions to your grant application.  However, you will still be able to view your application at any time.  In certain cases, the Arts Council may choose to have a revision period - in this case, your application would be opened back up for revisions.

10.  When will I find out about the status of my application?
The date for earliest announcement of the status of your grant or scholarship application is listed in the Guidelines of that program.

11. How do I print out my application?
Sign in and go to "My Applications", then "My History".  From here, click the following button:  next to the application you wish to print out.  A pop-up window will appear with your application (you may need to disable pop-ups).  Click the "Print" button at the top of the page to print your application.
